IndiGo is expanding its presence in Europe with the addition of a new route between Mumbai and Copenhagen, Denmark.

From October 8, IndiGo will operate three weekly flights on the Mumbai-Copenhagen route. The airline will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft wet-leased from Norse Atlantic Airways on the new route.

“With growing demand for travel between India and Northern Europe, we are delighted to connect Mumbai to Copenhagen, marking IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian region,” said Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo. “This expansion strengthens our presence in Europe, offering Copenhagen as a gateway to the Nordic region for Indian travellers.”

With the addition of Copenhagen, IndiGo's overall network will grow to 138 destinations – including 44 international destinations. Copenhagen will become the airline's third destination in Europe following Manchester, UK; and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
